Re: Naming Our Third Dog -- Lilith (named)
Bored and lurking through some old threads and found this. Lilith turned out to be incompatible with the other two dogs in the house and she was adopted, after 3 months in our care, by friends of our family who were excellent dog parents up until Lilith's passing last month. Our 2 dogs are now 10 ye...

Re: Angry Gamers
I've had instances where I get annoyed enough at some players for refusing to be part of the team and becomes one of the biggest reasons why we're losing so I end up calling them out. There's also been some frustrating matches where the loss is mainly because of a shitty auto-balance system that sta...

I've always tipped 15%~30% depending on price/service. Rationalize all you want, if you live in a country where tipping is customary and you don't, you're a cheap dick. No other way around it.

Re: Been a while since...
Thanks for the input. I did consider getting the basic CPU version but with this build, it'll be a waste not to OC it. The mobo isn't the best in the category but I did get the Mobo+RAM+CPU in a bundle. As for the GPU, the 2GB version is slightly cheaper so it's a "just in case" scenario.

I'm just glad the annoying child actresses are dead. It's almost unbearable to watch them shit all over the show with their horrible school-play level acting. Although I think I'm in the minority when I say that last ep was a feel-good show.

Re: I dislike this "selfie" generation.
These days single women post stupid ass photos of themselves, and I'm like; "I don't want to date/wife a gold fish". Everyone's too familiar with one another. It's disgusting. Keep the selfies to your close friends, don't broadcast them out for the entire world to see. You're not doing yo...

I was debating between a Compound bow and a more traditional Recurve bow. A compound bow is much easier to learn but IMO, it's better to start with a good foundation by getting used to shooting with a recurve. It's advisable to start focusing more on proper stance/body position and consistency rathe...

I was wondering if the new-gen consoles can really handle the graphics during intense scenarios. I read that Titanfall on Xbox One isn't even running on full 1080. I wonder how MGS:V will hold up on Xbox One and PS4. It blows that they're not doing a PC release on it but oh well. I might get a PS4 f...

PC is running smoothly. No lag, no DC, no FPS drops on my end. Servers are easy to find and the active matchmaker does its job without a hitch. That bit of news actually makes me feel a lot better about spending the extra $ to build a PC. The parkour system in this game is awesome. Nothing like tryi...

Re: What's your ideal mmorpg?...
GW2 is pretty close to it. Would be nice if we can run faster, have mounts, jump off and run along walls and have battle mechanics crossed with the likes of Dragon's Nest. Also, more classy light armors for female toons.

Re: Leaving SRO
GW2 I've tried Rift, FF14, and some other MMOs. They simply can't compare to what GW2's team has done with the game. The constant roll-out of new content every 2~4 weeks and addition of new mechanics to the game is reason enough. The game appeals to both casual and hardcore players. Playing casually...

That, it does. I think I was in my junior year of HS at the time. Running SRF on a toaster desktop PC and taking 20min~2 hours of log-in attempts to access the game. Crossing Hotan was basically a 5-minute slideshow. I was working part-time at some fast-food restaurant with minimum wage. How time fl...

Also, get the weapons with the most AOE. Get as much power as you can on your armors, weapons and trinkets. For example, I use different runes with +Power as their (1) stat on all 6 armor pieces and Sigil of Bloodlust on my main weapon. You can also use food consumables to boost it. "Rice in Bu...

Re: MMORPGs. How to play them? What's your approach?
I've only done storylines until 50 (Claw Island) on most of my toons. Only 2 of them finished the lvl80 story. I don't use storyline as my main way of leveling. I often just go around doing hearts and open world events. From lvl30~50, I head over to north Hirathi for the centaur meta quest. Crafting...

Re: MMORPGs. How to play them? What's your approach?
Create new character, cap level, get decent high-end gear (enough to compete with anyone in pvp), then make a new alt. I always try to enjoy the leveling process rather than see it as a grind and I start buying my end-game gear before I even hit the cap. Right now I have 7 Lv80s in GW2 and planning ...

Would be interesting. I've never had the urge to try contacting my half siblings. They should be around their late teens or early 20s by now but I never felt any connection to them nor care whatever happens to them. Good luck on your search though.
