I didn't notice much of an increase in damage with the AR buff. I'd recommend sticking with ice.

Lol, this is going to mean some changes to my bow build. Looks like the AR buff is going to have to go if I'm going to have a black hawk up instead. :D But what a coup for pacheon! :D  :D

Lol, they couldn't help throwing in a useless skill, though. Split arrow? :P

What about that bomb thing you can buy at the grocery npc? You select a mob and then summon the bomb and it blows up and kills whomever attacks it. I assume that right now a bot can distinguish between it and a real mob, but couldn't joymax modify it a little? If those things worked, I'd log in ever...

Get them...please they are implemented and you need them. Is there a consensus on this? I've done some experimenting with my admittedly low lvl AR buff, and the effect was pretty much negligible. +13 AR and i was doing on average 2 more points of damage each hit. It wasn't a small sampling of hits ...

Parry Ratio and Attack Rating

Has it ever been decided whether these have been implemented yet? If not, would someone with high level PR and AR buffs do some experimentation to finally settle the question? I don't want to spend weeks farming sp for skills that don't do anything.

I did a little experimenting with my 2-arrow combo. With a buff of +13 AR, I did 2.5 more points of damage each hit than with no buff. So if AR does work, 13 points of AR is fairly negligible.

Well, I think I'm going to level up the first fire book to be my third nuke. That way I can keep lightning mastery fairly low. Lol, this is finally a build I might actually complete. I only need to farm 40k sp. :P

Are lightning nukes necessary?

Would it be feasible to make a pure int with just fire nukes and leave lightning mastery at 54 for 15% piercing and speed buff? I'd maybe get the first book of lion shout to aggro stuff, but all my damage would come from the two fire nukes. This would be a spear nuker, btw.

First book of Strong Bow

The char builder let's you max out the first book of strong bow at Pacheon lvl 31, even though that's the lvl you receive the skill at. Is this a mistake? If not, what kind of implications would that have for mid-game farming?

In addition to a skill with a crit bonus, bow's have physical skills with high reinforce percentages. In fact, these and a high range are the only things that a bow char has going for it. Any points you put toward int just weaken your only assets.

Parry Ratio and Attack Rating for 1:1 build

I'm planning on starting a 1:1 hybrid blade (w/lightning), and I was wondering if parry ratio is worth investing in. Should I spend sp on the lightning passive and parry buff? Also, is it worth it to put about 35 mastery into Pacheon to get the hawk and passive? The total attack rating increase I'd ...

It's all up to you, but here's what I've gleaned from reading some of the guide: 1. Autumn Wind (the one after the hawk in the list) is not very useful. 2. The Black Hawk (the second hawk book) is unnecessary as well. Just put one level into it so you can get the blue hawk. 3. The buff that increase...

Frost Guard + Ice Passive = Worthwhile?

Okay, according to the char builder, at lvl 68 the Ice buff and passive combine for +97 physical defense. At that high of a level, will this figure make much of a difference? My char is going to wear garms, so I figure I'll need as much physical defense as I can get, but is it going to be worth the ...

Switching lvl 22 archer from ice to fire -- please help

Ok, I have a lvl 22 str archer, with bow skill at 21, ice skill at 13. This is my first char, and I did all this without knowing about sp farming or that ice is no good for pvp. I want to have fire as my primary element and lightning as my secondary (for max grasswalk). I know that I should do the c...
